Dr. Alex Lin, co-founder of Hermes Health, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician known for delivering calm, expert care in high-pressure environments. He brings a deep commitment to education, mentorship, and systems-level quality improvement. Dr. Lin serves as an Assistant Professor at both Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and county Site Director for Stanford Emergency Medicine Residency program and Valley Medical Center Graduate Medical Education, where he actively trains and mentors the next generation of physicians.
Experience:
Dr. Lin practices emergency medicine across several high-volume facilities, including Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and previously at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. He completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he also served as an Assistant Professor and committee leader in education, recruitment, diversity, and quality improvement. Over the years, Dr. Lin has led major hospital quality improvement initiatives in trauma, sepsis, and burn care, and has served on professional committees for both Stanford and SCVMC emergency medicine departments. He’s also been a physician for large-scale event medicine operations at EDC Las Vegas, Formula 1 Racing, and other major festivals. He has received awards for bedside teaching, research, and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals.
